Works just as good as the Rode Smartlav

This mic works great! I also purchased the Rode SmartLav and to me both of these mics sound the same except the Rode is 3x more expensive and you need to purchase an extension cable to make it useful for interviews any situation where the camera is more than 3 feet away. The Rode only has a 3' foot cable. Get the Veyda VD-PL1 you wont be disappointed!
