Expand the capabilities of the Scorpion EX with it’s built-in 1/4"-20 threaded brass feet. Attach the Cam Caddie Cheese Plate / Tripod Mount (Sold Separately*) to your Scorpion EX and easily go from handheld, to tripod, to Shoulder Support mounted.
The Scorpion EX can be combined with the Scorpion EX Shoulder Support to transform your camera into a Cinema Quality Camera Rig. The unique design allows you to instantly go from the Shoulder Support, to a Tripod, to handheld shooting. Easily transition from shot to shot, without having to breakdown your entire camera rig. (Cheese Plate / Tripod Mount Sold Separately*)
The Scorpion EX displaces the weight of your gear by separating your hand from directly holding the camera body. When holding the Scorpion EX and not the camera, motion and movement is naturally dampened. The Scorpion EX can facilitate moves that look like a professional camera stabilizer or jib arm.
Use Cage Mode and get a two-handed grip for locked on handheld shots. This unique configuration allows you to keep your right hand on the camera controls and use your left hand to help stabilize and articulate the camera movements.
Easily connect the Scorpion EX to your favourite Tripod with the Cheese Plate / Tripod Mount (Sold Separately*).
United StatesThis is a well made caddie. Works well for stability and low angle shots. Putting this on a scale system should prove very useful. My only complaint is the shipping packaging. The caddie is shipped on flat cardboard with a small built in box for the accessories. This box is very poorly made, and allows the wing accessory to tear through the box and fall out. I recommend this system, especially if you need to mount a recorder, lights or a monitor on your rig, and you don't want to spend a fortune. Finally, the rig is a bit flexible, which bugged me at first. But it actually seems to help smooth out the shake, which in turn makes shake correction work better in post.
