The Scorpion Stabilizing Weight Kit is used as a counterbalance to customize the Scorpion / EX setup. When using heavy lenses or multiple accessories it is very helpful to have a counterweight to help balance out the Scorpion Support Rig. The Weight Kit has multiple mounting options to position the 1lb (pound) Counterbalance: (1) ¼”-20 Flashner/Cold Shoe Converter (1) Scorpion Accessory Shoe and (1) ¼”-20" Threaded Mounting Knob are included. With these mounts you can position the camera and accessories just where you want them while maintaining even weight distribution. This ensure the camera operator can focus on the subject and not on the camera rig.

The Scorpion Stabilization Weight Kit comes with multiple mounting options. Use the Accessory Shoe and 1/4”-20” Flashner to mount the 1 lb. Weight to the rear of your Scorpion or use the Mounting Knob to attach the 1 lb. Weight to your Scorpion’s base plate.
By adding a counterweight to your Scorpion camera rig you get better stabilization. In this photo, we have attached the weight to the bottom of the Scorpion EX using a Mounting Knob.
