The 1/4"-20 threaded Mounting Knob can be used in a variety of ways. It can be used as a replacement knob to attach your camera to your Scorpion or Scorpion EX. It can also be combined with our Accessory Wing to mount multiple items to your rig. Using the Mounting Knob we’ve attached the 10” Accessory Wing to the base plate of the Scorpion.
Using the 1/4"-20 Mounting Knob in conjunction with our Accessory Wing allows you to customize your rig in a variety of ways. This setup is called Flyer Mode Side View. It mimics the feel and function of traditional video cameras.

Mount the Accessory wing to the Scorpion Base Plate.
In this set up, we've tripod mounted a Scorpion EX using a Cheese Plate / Tripod Mount. We've also added a microphone and field monitor and LED Light to our rig, using an Accessory Shoe and Accessory Wing.
United StatesBig handle makes it very easy to attach, I don't need a screwdriver or some other tool to mount my camera to the Scorpion Base Plate. This is so much more convenient than all the other DSLR and Mirrorless Tripod Plates that use the small 1/4 - 20 screws to mount the camera.
