The Scorpion EX is the latest update in the Scorpion line. The Scorpion EX comes standard with (1) Accessory Shoe & our updated 1/4”-20 Threaded Brass Feet. The 1/4”-20 Threaded Brass Feet allows the Scorpion EX to be Tripod or Shoulder Support Mounted, utilizing the optional Cheese Plate and Shoulder Support. The Scorpion EX is an extremely versatile Handheld Camera Stabilizer & Support Rig. The patented design displaces the weight of your gear enabling a stable support rig that dampens movement while shooting. The system can facilitate moves that look like a professional camera stabilizer or jib arm. Expand the capabilities of the Scorpion EX with it’s built-in 1/4"-20 threaded brass feet. Attach the Cam Caddie Cheese Plate / Tripod Mount (Sold Separately*) to your Scorpion EX and easily go from handheld, to tripod, to Shoulder Support mounted.
The Scorpion EX utilizes a specially formulated Polymer Grip that virtually sticks to your hand. This tacky feel allows the camera operator to confidently float the Scorpion EX on their fingertips while capturing images that cannot be done handheld.
Compatible with Cheese Plate / Tripod Mount. The Scorpion EX can be combined with the Scorpion EX Shoulder Support to transform your camera into a Cinema Quality Camera Rig. The Scorpion EX displaces the weight of your gear by separating your hand from directly holding the camera body. When holding the Scorpion EX and not the camera, motion and movement is naturally dampened. The Scorpion EX can facilitate moves that look like a professional camera stabilizer or jib arm.
Use Cage Mode and get a two-handed grip for locked on handheld shots. This unique configuration allows you to keep your right hand on the camera controls and use your left hand to help stabilize and articulate the camera movements

It was always a pain to try to get video of my son from down at his level but with the Scorpion I was able to shoot great video from the proper perspective with wrecking my back in the process

United StatesThis system is mostly used by video users, but I bought it assist with stills. With live view (remote live view that is) on many cameras now, this device is perfect to aid in getting your camera in those awkward spots that usually produce the most interesting photos. The 1/4-20 threads on the feet allowed me to create 'levelers' with 4 simple mushroom head carriage bolts and wing nuts. This enables a nice upward angle to set the whole thing down and do effortless ground level photography. Construction is rock solid, lots of accessories and this item is, very much so, worth the added cost over other U-handle devices out there. To my knowledge it is the only one with the 1/4-20 threads in the feet.

Its also very adaptable, you can add lights, external microphones, audio recorders and a monitor. I have been using it now for more than a year its perfect for sports shooting or anything that requires you having to get yourself and your rig into difficult positions just to get the money shot.
